Jenene's Indian Recipe

What you'll need

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 unit small onion
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
  • 3 unit hot green chilis, sliced into thin rings (keep the seeds)
  • 1/4 teaspoons turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 3/4 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 dash freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  1. Put everything except oil, garlic and pepper into large bowl and mix well.
  2. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add garlic when hot. Stir until medium brown.
  3. Put in meat mixture, add 1/2 cup water, stir a couple times, turn heat down to medium-low, cover, cook until done (about 45 minutes).
  4. Stir in pepper at the end.
  5. Serve with turmeric rice.
